Different types of thermal oil
Added:2023-07-15     Views:

There are six types of heat transfer oils, namely alkylbenzene type (benzene ring type) heat transfer oils, which are products of short branched alkane groups (including methyl, ethyl, isopropyl) combined with benzene rings; Alkyl naphthalene type thermal oil; Low melting point mixed heat transfer oil with diphenyl ether; Alkyl diphenyl ether type heat transfer oil; Mineral thermal oil alkylbenzene (benzocyclic) thermal oil: It is a product of the combination of short branched alkane groups (including methyl, ethyl, isopropyl) with a benzene ring.

Its boiling point is 170-180 ℃, and its freezing point is below -80 ℃, which can be used as an antifreeze. Alkyl naphthalene type thermal oil: The type and quantity of its additional side chains determine the performance of the compound. Alkyl naphthalene with side chains connected to methyl groups is used for gas-phase heating systems at 240-280 ℃. Biphenyl type heat transfer oil is composed of short chain alkyl groups (ethyl, isopropyl) combined with biphenyl rings, and the type and quantity of alkyl groups determine its properties. The more alkyl groups there are, the poorer their thermal stability.

Low melting point mixture heat transfer oil with diphenyl ether: This type of product has the best heat resistance in organic heat carriers because the benzene ring is not connected to the alkane side chain. This low melting point mixture with a solidification point of 12.3 ℃ is economical to use at room temperature and boiling temperature range of 256-258 ℃. Alkyl diphenyl ether type heat transfer oil: This mixed heat transfer oil has low kinematic viscosity and good low-temperature fluidity, making it suitable for use in cold regions of northern China. It is recommended that the maximum temperature should not exceed 330 ℃ and the freezing point should be -54 ℃. Type I mineral thermal oil: a product of a certain distillation range in the process of petroleum refining, with different main components from base oil. Generally, it is a mixture of long-chain alkanes and cycloalkanes.
